Oh yeh. This starts tonight. I'm loving life once again.

Monday, August 27, 2012

I'm sitting here drinking my morning coffee wondering why I'm here so early in the morning. Then I once again realize it's the end of the fiscal year and we're here to spend the last of the funds that the VA hospital has. It's a temporary thing that we experience each August and Septemebr. It does make me question why I continue doing this and then question how many more fiscal year close-outs that I have to go thru before I retire. Oh well, it's a short work week with a long weekend coming up. It will be nice to get out of town this coming weekend.

I'm sitting here on a Sunday evening pondering the wisdom of a number of decisions. I can sit here and run them all thru my mind and come to the same conclusion ... It doesn't really matter now does it? People are going to do or say as they please or call shots as they see them. I'm not holier than thou and I'm definitely not noble. But I do know when to call it quits when people are being nasty. I called it quits with Multiply. You don't like it? I guess there's nothing more to say.

Ah, the end of the week is here. Saturday. Kick back day. Time to relax my pea brain and recharge the hamster. Time to let out a collective sigh of relief knowing Joe Biden didn't surrender this country to Panama. Don't even start on me. It's not that I hate or despise Joe Biden ... I just think he's an idiot out wandering around without competent adult supervision. That's what you get for electing a politician to an office. Where's his wife at anyway???

August 21, 2012

I believe that it is important to pray every day and especially more so given all of the problems that we as a country have seen recently. And much to the chagrin of some of my liberal friends, I especially pray for the President of the United States. Yes, I realize that some may be shocked and some may poo-poo at the thought of me praying for the POTUS. I know some of my conservative friends are equally shocked. But let me say my prayer and I think you will understand where I’m coming from. Dear God, Thank you for the day. Thanks for my friends and family. Thank you for my kids and my two grandkids. Thank you for my pets. Thank you for everyone that loves and cares for me. Thank you for watching over me. Also, thank you for President Obama. Please watch over him and keep him safe from harm. Because God only knows if something happened to him then Joe Biden would be President and we’re all screwed after that.

August 20, 2012

I hate breaking in new shoes. They're stiff, they're tight in all of the wrong places, and the new shoe leather is slippery on a carpeted floor. There have been a couple times when I went to turn a corner this morning and it was a new adventure in balancing myself. One would think that I was trying out for the Russian circus with the way that I caught myself in mid-turn. It was like "whoaaaaa ... Daddy didn't wanna go there at all." Such is the life of a dazzling south metro urbanite. It's a pretty doggone interesting life, huh? Hey! Feed the fish while you're here. It's kinda interesting.

August 17,, 2012

OK, it has been wuite a while since I posted last. It's been a hetcic week. The network has been going up and down at work, my boss took off and left me in charge, one problem after another popped up, my home network went down, and now our network at work has once again pooped out on us. It's enough to make a grown man want to pull his hair out! Thank Gawd it's Friday. I could use a couple cocktails tonight after what I've been thru this week.

August 11, 2012

It's been kinda nice just to sit here and slowly drink a couple cups of coffee. Lots to do this weekend and there never seems to be enough weekend to do all of the things that I want to get done. I'm sure we'll manage none the less. Big Boy the cat decided that he wanted to play this morning. He was attacking my hand as I laid in bed thinking he could get away with it. He still hasn't figured out who is bigger than whom. He was none too happy as I grabbed him and made him lay there for a while. He got even tho ... he pushed back his ears, flicked his tail and then passed some gas when he walked away when I finally let him go. He's a rude cat.

What a day! What a day! What a day! And I'm glad it's over. And we'll leave it at that. The good thing is that the heat wave has broken here. There's plenty of good weather left around these parts, it's just getting cooler. That means Fall is not too far away for the north woods. And that's good because we're soon to enter into my favorite season of the year. But it also means cold weather is not too far away and there isn't a whole lot of time left before I won't be able to get outside chores done. The bottom-line is life is good ...

Blood on the Dance Floor

August 08, 2012

Experiment, experiment, experiment.  Try this, try that, see hat happens when I do this or that.   Ahhh, the joys of breaking one self into a new web site.  It is interesting when we try this.

Wasn't there someone who looked strangely like me that counseled someone to not be afraid of change??  Famous last words that tend to come back and haunt one self.

Still adjusting and still looking around for a new site to settle in to.  I hope this doesn't take to awfully long.

OK, so I have to learn how to use yet another site.  OH well, we learn, we adapt, we move on with life.
